Do you know that we serve an AMAZING GOD?
Kenneth and I have the honor to minister and disciple a group of students that continue to grow in their walk with Christ. Some struggle with their home life, peer pressure, sickness, bullying, etc…still they try to be faithful in church. They may fail sometimes but God seems to get their attention a lot quicker than adults.
The Strength to Stand Conference was just one of the ways that God gets our attention. We get away from the everyday struggles and our attention gets focused more on Him.
If you have never been to a conference like this, it is like a vacation. This vacation is from the things that distract us from God. When we return, we are refreshed to go out and serve Him better.
Our youth led the service Sunday Evening, January 27th. If you were not at church to hear how God was speaking to them, you missed God speaking to you through them. The holy Spirit was upon them and they shared Him with our church family. God is allowing our students to lead our adults to another level of worship.
Kenneth and I would like to thank everyone for the cards, visits and calls, but we are more thankful for the prayers that you sent up on our behalf. We have seen the healing hand of God in Kenneth’s life and have known peace that only God provides. We love you all and ask that you keep praying for continued strength and healing for Kenneth.
Let me encourage you to seek to know God more and more in your life. The more you seek Him, the more you will see Him in all of His glory.
In Christ Alone,
Angie & Kenneth Parker
I am the Vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will hbear much fruit; apart from you you can do nothing…This is to my Father’s glory that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love…I have told you this sot hat my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no man than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
John 15:5-13 NIV
I remember mrmorizing these verses in college and again at church. It’s one of my favorite passages in scripture that reminds me to be faithful to God and His Word.
Finding yourself as a part of the true Vine, I hope that you’re bearing much fruit for the kingdom. We’re so blesed here at FBC to see what God is doing in our midst and I’m excited to see what God will do in the coming months.
Every day is a celebration of Jesus’ resurrection and I pray that you find yourself worshipping Him daily.
Pray for the Worship Choir as we continue to prepare for Easter.
